The law firm of Hannah C. Pelham, P.C. was formed in 2008, when Hannah Pelham realized that there is a need for divorce lawyers who put the interests of children before the interests of vindictive parents, who cause severe psychological and emotional harm to children, as a result of using their children as pawns to hurt the other parent and to one-up the other parent financially during a divorce or custody battle.

Mrs. Pelham aims to shift the current “rights-based” discourse of feminists and fathers rights groups, to a “responsibility-based” framework, focused on the children’s needs.  We believe that if everyone involved in the divorce process focused on fulfilling the needs of the children, the adversarial process would be less stressful and traumatic to them.

Mrs. Pelham is also interested in working with parties in non-high conflict divorce matters, encouraging them to cooperate with one another in making the divorce process a smooth transition for everyone involved, especially the children.
